[00:03:46] we can remain standing as you're able for a moment of silence you may be seated thank you so much colleagues the next item on the agenda is the approval of the agenda is there a motion i move that the school board approve the agenda for today's meeting thank you mr young is there a second second seconded by mr irving all those in favor say aye aye opposed the ayes have it the agenda has been approved i will now turn it over to our superintendent dr cashwell thank you chair [00:04:25] shay members of the board good afternoon we will now conduct the election of the chair of the school board for the calendar year 2026 and thereafter until his or her successor is elected and qualified are there any nominations for the position of school board chair i would like to nominate mr madison irving to serve as chair are there any other nominations hearing no other nominations the nominations are closed is there a motion on the nomination of madison irving as [00:05:00] chair i move to approve the nomination of madison irving to serve as chair of the school board for the calendar year 2026 and thereafter until his or her successor is elected and qualified all those in favor of the motion say aye aye are there any opposed nay are there any abstentions the motion [00:05:32] passes congratulations chair irving uh it is now my pleasure and privilege to conduct first i have a gift that i would like to present to chair shea thank you so much for your service we appreciate all that you do for the county and our students and our families and we're super grateful to have you so i thank you thank you mr irving and thank you for your partnership this year working together [00:06:04] to serve Henrico County. Absolutely. Thank you all for your support and this process to becoming chair. I am deeply grateful to work with each and every one of you, and I look forward to all the great things we'll continue to do for the people of Henrico County. It is my recommendation that the school board establish the second and fourth Thursdays of each month as the meeting days of the county school board of Henrico County, Virginia to comply with chapter 7, title 22 of the code of Virginia, noting that meeting dates may be added or changed throughout the year as necessary. But thank you for making clear that we did not miss that because the other agenda states it in that order. yes we can come back to the committee assignments um in accordance with the code of virginia section 22.1-76 the school board is required to approve a designee of the division superintendent to attend meetings of the school board in the absence or inability of the superintendent to attend dr cashwell do you have a recommendation thank you uh mr irving chair irving it is my pleasure to recommend that the chief of school leadership be designated as my design need to attend school [00:10:26] board meetings and that in the event the chief of school leadership is unable to attend that the chief of staff be named as a designee to attend school board meetings in my absence or my inability to attend is there a motion to accept the superintendent's recommendation that the chief of school leadership and in their absence the chief of staff be designated as the superintendent's designee i move to accept the superintendent's recommendation that the chief of school leadership and in his or her absence the chief of staff be designated as the superintendent's DOESN'T HE?
