I'm calling this meeting of the Student Behavior and Accountability Committee to order. This meeting is to hear an appeal. My name is Carrie LaBelle, and I am chairing this meeting. The motion is, I move that the Student Behavior and Accountability Committee of the Lownton County School Board recess the public meeting and enter into a closed meeting pursuant to Section 2.2-3712 of the Code of Virginia for the following purposes, discussion or consideration of a reassignment decision for a student enrolled in Lownton County Public Schools [00:01:17] as authorized by Section 2.2-3711A2 of the Code of Virginia. Discussion or consideration of a reassignment decision for a student enrolled in Loudoun County Public Schools as authorized by Section 2.2-3711, Section A2 of the Code of Virginia. I move that the following resolution certifying the closed meeting be adopted and reflected in the minutes of this public meeting. [00:03:47] Resolution 06-24-25. Whereas the Student Behavior and Accountability Committee of the Loudoun County School Board has convened a closed meeting on this date pursuant to an affirmative recorded vote and in accordance with the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act. [00:04:06] and, whereas Section 2.2-3712D of the Code of Virginia requires a certification by this committee of the school board that such closed meetings was conducted in conformity with Virginia law, now, therefore, be it resolved that the Student Behavior and Accountability Committee of the Loudoun County School Board hereby certifies that, to the best of each member's knowledge, only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by Virginia law were discussed in the executive meeting to which this certification applies [00:04:43] and to only such public business matters that were identified in the motion convening the closed meeting board were heard, discussed, or considered by the student behavior and accountability meeting of the Loudoun County School Board.
