I call to order this July 9th, 2025, Loudoun County Special School Board meeting. I will continue with item two, our closed session. Dr. Deans, do you have a motion? It's been properly moved and seconded that the Loudoun County School Board go into closed session. Is there any discussion? Seeing none, we're going to go ahead and take a voice vote. [00:03:08] Um, so all those in favor of the motion say aye. All right. And, and, um, I think that's unanimous. The motion passes, one, two, three, four, five, um, to zero with, uh, Vice Chair Dinahue, Ms. Chernoff, Ms. LaBelle, and, um, Ms. Chandler absent for the vote. [00:16:52] all right the board is now in closed session all right the school board is coming out of closed um dr deans do you have a motion i move that the closed meeting be adjourned that the loughton county school board reconvene its public meeting and that the minutes of the public meeting reflect that no formal action was taken in the closed meeting i have a motion by dr deans do i have a second i have a second by dr rasheed it's been properly moved and seconded um that the school [00:17:31] board come out of closed session um is there any discussion seeing none we'll move on to a voice vote i can't i'll voice a vote um all those in favor of the motion say aye aye aye aye aye aye aye okay that is um one two three four six um and then uh assuming so that motion [00:18:04] passes unanimously with vice chair donoghue miss shernoff and miss labelle absent for the vote dr deans do you have another motion i move that the following resolution certifying the closed meeting be adopted and reflected in the minutes of this public meeting. Whereas the Lawton County School Board has convened a closed meeting on this date pursuant to an affirmative recorded vote [00:18:40] and in accordance with the provisions of the Virginia Freedom of Information Act, and whereas 2.2-3712D of the Code of Virginia requires a certification by the school board that such closed meeting was conducted in conformity with Virginia law. Now, therefore, be it resolved that the Loughton County School Board hereby certifies that to the best of each member's knowledge, one, only public business matters lawfully exempted from open meeting requirements by [00:19:17] Virginia law were discussed in the closed meeting to which this certification applies, and two, only such public business matters as were identified in the motion convening the closed meeting were heard, discussed, or considered by the Lawton County School Board.
