All those in favor of approving the consent agenda, please say aye. - Aye. - And that motion will pass unanimously. The consent agenda has been approved. We'll move on to our one and only information item for this afternoon. [00:01:53] And so that will be Support Services First Amendment Lease for 102 North Street, Leesburg, Virginia, Renewal. And I believe this is presented by Mr. Sox. Thank you, Chair. Yes, we're bringing forward to you today for an information item. [00:02:09] The First Amendment to the Lease for the Renewal of the 102 North Street, Leesburg property that's owned by LCPS. This lease has been in place since 2007. The County of Loudoun houses programs there, and I did look a little further into it because I didn't provide here, and I thought it may be a question. [00:02:31] It is currently acting as a senior center and administrative offices for library services for the County of Loudoun. The lease is for 20 years. It's been reviewed by Division Council's office as well as staff, and we recommend moving forward with executing the first extension or renewal of the lease. [00:02:51] Thank you. Board members, any discussion? Yes. - Ms. Griffiths. - Thank you, Chair Streffy. I have four questions. What programs are currently housed at this property? [00:03:06] - The Senior Center and the Administrative Offices for Library Services for the County of Loudoun. Those are that I'm aware of. There may be other ancillary office space being used inside for other services, but those are the two that occupy the building and are currently active. [00:03:24] - Thank you. What is the total cost for the 20-year lease? The agenda item says there's no budget impact. It's no cost to LCPS. The County of Loudoun maintains the facility. In fact, shortly after the first lease was executed in 2007, they fully renovated the building at the county's expense. [00:03:48] Is cost increasing from the previous leases that we may have had? There's no cost. Okay. And my last question, what if LCPS no longer needs this property before the lease is up? um i'm i'm not sure it we don't utilize the i mean we could surplus it to the county um if if we determine there's no need to hold on to it any longer um so that's an option thank you thank you [00:04:26] mr griffiths any other discussion okay seeing none um it are we okay to put this on consent for the next finance and operations committee meeting okay so that item will then go on consent and we'll move on to new business um is there any new business for this afternoon seeing no new business. We will now adjourn today's October 21st meeting of the Finance and Operations Committee. Thank you. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Coraggio Consulting ยท aguyonx.com
