Timestamps are [HH:MM:SS] into the meeting video. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- [00:00:01] welcome to the select committee of the school board for hearing appeals for september 8th 2026 my name is dina griffiths and i'm joined by miss samara rasheed and we have one committee member that is absent um with that i will make the motion to convene for a closed meeting i move that the loudon county school board recess this public meeting and enter into a closed meeting pursuant to 2.2 dash 3712 of the code of virginia for the following purposes discussion or consideration of matters that would involve the disclosure of information contained in a scholastic record concerning a student namely a parent request or LCPS student [00:00:41] to be granted a waiver of the Virginia High School League VHSL transfer rule 28 a - 7 - 1 which is authorized by 2.2 - 3 7 1 1.82 of the Virginia of the code of virginia um all those in favor aye aye or make a motion so moved thank you and we'll go ahead and close the meeting thank you very much um i'm going to make a motion to adjourn i move that the closed meeting be adjourned that the loudon county school board reconvene its public [00:01:21] meeting and that the minutes of the public meeting reflect that normal no formal action was taken in this closed meeting second thank you um and then i will motion to certify closed meeting i move that the following resolution certifying the closed meeting be adopted and reflected in the minutes of the public meeting under resolution number 05-26-27 whereas the loudon county school board has convened a closed meeting on in the on the state pursuant to an affirmative recorded vote and in accordance with the provisions of the virginia freedom of information act and whereas [00:02:00] 2.2-3712D of the Code of Virginia requires a certification of the school board that such closed meeting was conducted in conformity with Virginia law.
