[00:01:00] of the Prince William County School Board to order. Pursuant to the, pursuant to school board policy 191-39, school board member participation in meeting by electronic communication, school board member Jennifer T. Wall will participate in this meeting through electronic means.

[00:01:23] The clerk will so note in the minutes the meeting. Tonight we are holding a meeting on the superintendent's proposed fiscal year 2026 budget. I'd like to remind school board members to provide questions on the proposed budget directly to Chief Financial Officers Shaquille Youssef, who in turn will work with the superintendent staff to develop responses.

[00:01:49] In addition to tonight's meeting, there will be a public hearing on the fiscal year 2026 budget on February 19th, 2025, held prior to the school board meeting scheduled for that evening.

[00:02:04] Citizens may sign up to speak during the public meeting between now and noon on Wednesday, February 19th. Additionally, a budget work session and final markup on proposed fiscal year 2026 budget will take place on Wednesday, March 12th, 2025 at 6:00 PM here at the Kelly Leadership Center.

[00:02:27] We will now move on to citizen comment time. Those citizens who have signed up in advance with the clerk may address the school board this evening. When they are called to the podium, please use proper decorum and manners while at the podium, or you will be asked to step aside.

[00:02:45] We ask that the audience please be respectful of each speaker and refrain from any clapping, cheering, or jeering to avoid disruption of the meeting. If you do not, the board will recess, and I will ask that the room be cleared to restore public order. Tonight, we have one citizen signed up to speak.
